Yet to be there, Yet to do that

Jojo...I have not heard from her for a while. I remember Jojo as a sweet, soft-spoken person. She is one of the eccentric friends of mine (just like yours truly). Yeah, yeah, I know birds of the same feathers flock together.

We do not communicate that often, neither do we meet that frequent. Nonetheless we do keep in touch, as and when we are available (thanx to 20th century technology of electronic-mail). Am ok with that and Jojo is fine with such arrangement too.

Got a note from her a couple of days ago, as if she knows that I am calling for her. In the last email she had mentioned her intentions of bringing her son, Scott to migrate to Canada. Am surprised to know that she has already moved overseas, in the US instead of Canada. Am glad to know that she is enjoying her stays there. Sounds to me that Scott likes it there too. Her husband of 6 years will join them soon. And am simply happy for her.

Makes me think of others who are like Jojo, who have the courage to just pack and leave. People like Neo (an ex team member who hopped on to the opportunity to work down-under), like Frank (a German freelancer whom we met in Tarutao, who is now residing in Spain), like many others.

I have that same thought of moving (far) away and staying some place else..not for good, but just for a while. Nepal and Thailand are my top 2 choices. No intention of migrating (Mak would have disapproved that idea; would probably disowns me!). But it was just a thought.

I wonder what does it take to do that. Guess I do not have enough courage, but have too much considerations.I am yet to be there, and yet to do that...
