The urban dictionary defines the word idiosyncrasy as Personal Peculiarity.
Yup, could not agree more with that definition. I have seen too many of them, that at times they just beat the crap out of me (Ok, am no exception either, but sometimes just too much lah)

At a hypermarket, somewhere in Seberang Jaya .. I love shopping at this hypermarket in the early Saturday morning. Avoid the busy traffic; minimize being shoulder-to-shoulder with other shoppers. This hypermarket promotes the use of bio-degradable bags or recycle bags. It even provides /allows customers to collect points (in exchange of vouchers/ coupons). Commendable effort eh? Yeah, you would concur until you line up to get your veggie or fruits weigh. Here layers of plastic bags are being used. 1 bag for a cucumber; 1 bag for the 2kg mango, 1 bag for 2 pieces of lemon.. So, what happen to the let's-be-green-and-minimize-use-of-plastic-bags! Duh!
At home, somewhere in Penang...Someone that I know (let's just name the someone, Som One) has a strict rules. Som One has a daughter who usually returns home from the evening (school) activities around 6pm. Som One makes it clear to the 10-year old daughter that: i) she should let her body cool down (for 30 mins, at least) first before showering ii) she should not shower after 8pm iii) she should clean herself (shower) before dinner. The list goes on and on.. Talk about being idiosyncratic.. Oh, hey, you might imagine Som One as the typical Type-A person who is successful due his strict rules. Unfortunately .. not! *Sigh* Perhaps he is trying to groom the 10-year old to be a better person. Perhaps it's a case of idiotic, rather then idiosyncratic..
Anyhow, there are many other similar examples of idiosyncrasy in life. Perhaps idiosyncrasy (just like beauty) lies in the eyes of the beholders.
